The baby boomer generation, who are about to reach retirement age, showed a strong interest in activities that balance “community contribution” and “economic viability.” Therefore, they were identified as potential targets for community businesses (CB) focused on regional initiatives.
Approach
Develop community businesses focused on addressing regional challenges.
In partnership with a national organization representing community business (CB) operators and a leading telecommunications company, we co-developed a regional consultation service utilizing video calls via fixed-line networks. Active seniors not only serve as mentors and advisors to older seniors but also proposed a shopping support service that allows retailers to receive product orders and delivery requests directly through video calls.
