Issue
Barriers such as insufficient track records and high costs are preventing the widespread adoption of high-level medical treatments.
While cancer treatment technologies have been advancing rapidly, a treatment technology highlighted by e-solutions, despite its clear advantages over existing methods, has struggled to reach patients globally due to high costs and insufficient international track records.
Approach
Creating a business model to overcome barriers to adoption and actively supporting the expansion of advanced medical care.
At e-solutions, we engaged with leading radiation oncology centers in the U.S. to support the creation of customer bases that would build overseas track records. We also revisited feasibility studies related to technology implementation.
To address the high-cost barrier to adoption, we proposed a “joint venture model (JV)” to alleviate concerns about implementation costs. This business model enabled hospitals to adopt the technology through low-barrier financing schemes.
