Increase local tax revenues from industries and creation of employment.

Local cities and towns are concerned about expansion of expenditures such as social security costs due to the aging population as well as a decrease in revenue due to the decline of consumption and corporate competitiveness in the region as a result of the declining birthrate and outflow of population.
If this trend accelerates, it will lead to a vicious cycle of declining government service levels and withdrawal/downsizing of public transportation, which will lead to further population outflow, and thus is regarded as an urgent social issue for the country.
In order to maximize the potential of each of these regional cities and solve this issue, we believe that we need measures to increase tax revenue by creating industries and employment.Therefore, we support the formulation of such strategies and their implementation through collaboration among industry, government, and academia.
